Produce, write, and anchor the KSL evening news broadcasts and the KSL News Now internet news updates. Board-op the ‘Sean Hannity Show’ and ‘The Nightside Project.’

Square Planet, LLC – Internet Sales & Marketing Director (1999 – 2002)

• Successfully started and grew Square Planet, an online business, into a big revenue, profitable business. Sold the company in 2002. Designed, programmed, and maintained the company website.

• Company profitability grew 29%, a remarkable accomplishment since computer products are notorious for their low profit margins. Increased profitability was the direct result of establishing purchasing relationships with several channel (wholesale) suppliers across the country, cutting shipping costs, selling product accessories, implementing an electronic order and drop-shipping procedure to maintain a no inventory strategy.

• Implemented the Square Planet e-mail promotion campaign. This opt-in e-mail product ad campaign was an inexpensive way to build and maintain name recognition with existing customers and gain traction with prospects. KeyLabs / Applabs – Sales Account Manager (1996 – 1999)

• KeyLabs is an IT services company that specializes in software and hardware testing, software development, as well as certification solutions for Cisco, Sun, Novell, Microsoft, Real, and Linux. KeyLabs also offers regression, performance, and security testing.

• Closed large dollar business deals ranging from $20, 000 – $75,000 with some of the industries largest companies, such as HP, Compaq, Microsoft, AOL, MSNBC, Novell, SUN, and AT&T just to name a few. Some testing agreements reached six figures depending on the size and scope of the testing that needed to be performed.

• Presented test and certification bids to clients over the phone and in-person so they would understand how their software or hardware would be tested. Helped perform software and hardware tests along-side full-time lab engineers.

Novell / WordPerfect – Fortune 500 Sales and Marketing Manager (1991 – 1996)

• Co-authored Novell’s major markets software licensing programs. The MLA, CLA, and VLA software licensing programs are still sold by distributors and resellers today. Authored product fact sheets, price lists, competitive licensing matrices, and FAQ sheets.

• This position required an understanding of what customer’s wanted in a licensing program, giving channel distributors and authorized resellers the sales tools they needed to sell the program, track daily sales numbers, identifying market trends, and understanding the competition’s licensing programs.

• Managed day-to-day communication between Novell and its authorized distributors and resellers. Established solid relationships with distributors to promote Novell’s software licensing programs.
